Default Greysignal template problems

The greysignal template is not very well put together and I have had so
many problems with it.

The biggest one now is a problem which affects multiple components.

my site is www.onlyforthehardcore.co.uk

There is a gap between the left module window and the component.

1) If you click on flyers it goes to an akogallery where there is a large gap.
this is cured if i add a right module window (but i dont want to do that)
If i click on the links in categories then it stetches out fine.

2) In event (events module) the same thing happens, only when you click on
an event does it stretch out.

3) in the Audio Archive (DOCman) the top 50 downloads does the same thing

4)Chat also does this

5) Downloads (remository) does it too

6) simple board does it when you go down to the actual messages.

7) This also happen in the built in ones NEWS and some parts of FAQ.

What would be causing this?

the greysignal template (modded) is attached below. It was modded by
jomaco1 to fix a problem with the right module window. (there are also other
hacks done by me.

The above problem does not occur if i use say, peeklime.
Even with the original index file it still has this problem.

Actually your problem only occurs when being viewed in IE
Works fine in Firefox.

This looks to be a CSS issue. Check your css file and change some of the paddings and margins and widths as this could be causing the problem.

Sorry dont really have the time to look into this

---------------

Nice little javascript you;ve got there for the bounce in newsflash module

I'm just popping in during lunch to check my messages...but please send me a PM to remind me and I will help you solve this tonight. I've done a little tweaking with this template and I'm pretty sure I know how to fix it for IE.

Thanks Jomaco1,

I am already using one of your tweaks for that template (when removing
the right module window).

Do you think its a problem in the CSS document of the HTML one?

If you mange to solve the prob just a snippet of the code and where to put
it posted here would be great (if you dont mind).

Thanks again

hello,
i had used this template also some months ago. i had exchanged some elements with flashfiles. have a small cool flash clock for this template. maybe you would have this? look at the attachments. itīs for free :-). i must have done some experiments, about which colors to generate identically, because the browser shows to some colors different as flash.
