Default FireFox vs IE

I have this problem and maybe someone else mentioned this, I don't know and sorry if I did not search for it first.

Well here it is:

I'm using two templates and currently testing which one will be the best. Both are wonderful layouts. But here is the thing, in Firefox everything gets jumbled. Its like firefox does not read tables in mambo or something. In IE everything is fine.

My question is what is wrong with Firefox. The two templates I'm using are akoindustry and Corporate. You can view what I'm taking about here

Thank you for your quick reply

It looked fine in firefox but you have way too much white space below content and actual footer.

I have noticed a weird quirk in FF and that is I can not copy and paste any text is if I want to add content, it all has to be typed word for word, If I use IE I can copy and paste articles in. I really hate IE but Mambo is forcing me to use it

That's not a quirq in FF is a security feature... by the way by clicking ok when firefox tells you that you cannot use paste you can obtain the instructions how to make firefox accept copy paste commands.

Firefox offers you the instructions how to make copy paste work:

Quote:
Help enabling clipboard actions for Mozilla/Netscape
You'll have to quit Mozilla/Netscape before you do this!

Find the files "prefs.js" and "user.js" on your local computer. Open them up with a texteditor and add the following lines:

user_pref("capability.policy.allowclipboard.Clipbo ard.cutcopy", "allAccess");
user_pref("capability.policy.allowclipboard.Clipbo ard.paste", "allAccess");
user_pref("capability.policy.policynames", "allowclipboard");
user_pref("capability.policy.allowclipboard.sites" , "http://www.YOUR SERVER HERE.com");
"http://www.YOUR SERVER HERE.com" of course must contain the URL of the server you want to allow to execute clipboard functions (such as cut, copy and paste).

Restart your browser.

@UFO Thanks but I must be braindead today. I did close down my browser first and I have no user.js at least windows can not find it, I did find prefs.js but it was completely commented out

# Mozilla User Preferences

/* Do not edit this file.
*
* If you make changes to this file while the browser is running,
* the changes will be overwritten when the browser exits.
*
* To make a manual change to preferences, you can visit the URL about:config
* For more information, see http://www.mozilla.org/unix/customizing.html#prefs
*/

I did add what you said but it did not work, I assume it is because of the user.js that could not be found, went into about:config but have accomplished nothing

I noticed you replied to my thread on css issue, I will look at the contentpane and see if I can add something there.

Thanks for your help but what am I missing with FF?

Lightbulb Re: FireFox vs IE

Hi people!
I just found the solution in other forum (posted by PAUL, search google for mambo firefox enabling clipboard actions , thanks PAUL!!). I tested it and it works, without modifying any files. ( I already posted it here on other thread).
To paste the contents just use the SHIFT-INSERT keys instead of the ol' CTRL-V.
I didn't even knew that there existed the shift-insert option!
I'm so happy with the solution that I registered here only to post it to others
Hope it works for everybody.
Best wishesh for all, and happy new year
