| Template modules I have noticed that templates offered sometimes have modules missing. If modules are missing and a user was to change to another template some content would just not be available. Am I correct on this?
Is there a recommended number to include? |

Is there a recommended number to include? | Whatever template you are using, you must be sure that you have appropriate placeholders for the modules you have published. If you have some modules published to "bottom", but the current template is not hardcoded to include the "bottom" placeholder, that module will not be displayed. Many templates were designed using just "left" and "right" placeholders and only recently have most templates started to include more. At any rate, you may also need to rearrange where these placeholders are located in each template to get the look you want. Use the template manager to edit the html of your template index for adding or modifying the module placeholders.

| Re: Template modules yes you're right.
If you use a tamplate that call 4 modules block (like left, right, top, user1) and than you switch to a template that use nly 3 modules, where the user1 is not call, the content of user1 will not be shown on the site.
Ther's no indication for how many modules block to show (show all will be the best for me, but you must take in care that many people don't use all of them, so the design must be good evn if they are empty), but at least the left, right and top should be presents.

(like rip their arms off if they don't?) |

| Re: Template modules Well, one thing is for sure...if someone wants to use a template that is not formatted to display their modules and they are not sure how to do it, just mention it here. Before you know it, there will be a pile of people offering to help modify the template and it will be done in no time.

(like rip their arms off if they don't?) | It is very simple to edit the template modules.
Just open the index.php file of the template. Use wordpad or DMX and you will soon see how you can change the moudule names/locations etc etc.. |

(like rip their arms off if they don't?) | Encouragement...absolutely! Enforcement...probably not. Most of the newer templates include the current standard placeholders. But, it is relatively easy to modify an older template to include the needed modules. Are you currently using a template that does not properly display your modules?
