I am sorry you feel that way, but that's fine with me, i can only respect your wish, but let me share my experience with you.

So you posted your templates here at Mambers.com, thinking that it's a free community website, right? OK, just take a look here http://mampire.com/index.php?option=...id=8&Itemid=27
where ad space @Mamber.com and Mamboportal.com are being sold, so you call that commercial or what?

And by the way i don't have any problem with that because i think every webmaster must get some sort of compensation for the time he/she spend everyday to create and maintain those community websites for other people to benefit from and i am sure a lot of people appreciate that.

You can also ask any webmaster how mush money they make from donations, and you'll know what i am talking about. i offer my service @ MamboHUT so that i don't have to ask you for donations, is that too mush to ask for? But anyway I was planning to move my service to a new "commercial" based website just to simplify managing my sites in the long run.

But if you really looking for a free site that support Mambo and only Mambo development then you should head over to MOSForge.net, and you can post your templates there for free.

I agree, people work for hours to create and maintain their community websites for the Mambers. They do not get payed at all. Donations are worthless, you get 2 or 3 dollars from a few visitors and that's it.

I would gladly put some of my templates on mambohut.com He just needs to ask, and I see how mambohut is looking at things and I must say I agree with him because I did have past expirience.

Let me point out that http://mamboart.de/ is a commercial site as well. At least I'm pretty sure webhosting is an enterprise that counts as commercial. Not that there's anything wrong with that! As Mambohut pointed out...the only truly FREE site is mosforge.net...but please...click on the google ads while you're there.

Mambohut provides one of the most valuable services available to the mambo community....AT NO CHARGE! Many people contributed hundreds of hours just to bring you the template gallery, which provides a nice image of each template in the database. He even has a demo site so you can test each template in a live environment. This all takes many hours to produce...and was done so strictly on a volunteer basis.

Mambohut also happens to provide commercial services...because he is good at what he does and deserves to be able to earn some compensation for at least some of his work. He doesn't cram those services down anyone's throat, either. He very discreetly advertises his services for custom template design and template conversion while using his site to primarily showcase the free services he has to offer to the community.

Anyone that is in the market for templates...and knows what they're doing, will go directly to Mambohut.com. If you want people to know about your templates...and use them, there is absolutely no better place for you to display them. You would most likely even receive a nice front page article announcing your templates.

First I want to apologize (I hope that's correct) to MamboHut, maybe I was just mad to see a site asking for about 20 Pounds for membership... but wtf I don't remember it and I confound it with MamboHut.
I'm sorry to start such a discution about commercial sites or not.

So, after a few thoughts, I decided that all sites could post my templates only if they are in a totally free download zone (no fee to download them or for membership, I hope this time it's crystal clear what I mean by commercial in my point of view).
It's ok to request user registration to download, show advertisements, popups and so on.

If you are lookin' in this forum you'll find it for shure.

Now I'm working on a LCARS themed template (with sounds! ) for all the Star Trek fans! Here is a little prewiev of the work in progress.
