Flame "Corporate" template for Mambo 4.5

Today, Absalom Media released the "Corporate" Mambo template for Mambo 4.5, due to customer demand for a 4.5 version of this

This design combines the best CSS practice, such as Fahrner Image Replacement, with designing inspired by Mambo itself. This is not a code hack, this is a total re-engineered product from the ground up, almost purely CSS. It is licenced under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike License, so don't pirate it for dotcom sites or commercial ventures. You have been warned

It is available for download from Absalom Media Projects on Mamboforge in the 4.5 templates section.

Reviews and comments welcome

Didn't you read what I wrote ?

This is not a code hack, and never will be a code hack. As such, it's not their template we're talking about here.

This is an inspiration because the entire methodology diverges from the ground up in regards to how Mamboserver.com produces the layout verses how Corporate produces the layout. In essense, I've taken the ideas behind how and why Mamboserver.com does what it does and rethink the interpretation of those ideas.

Gforge - the filemanager that Mamboforge.net uses - has a template for layout inspired by the Apple website (at least in the default installs I have of it). Does it have similar functionality ? No. Does it produce the same effects as Apple.com ? Yes. So is the Apple inspired template in Gforge Apple's template ? Hell, no.

im not saying its a code hack or any of the other, im saying its a similar style which you have mimicked from mamboserver.

There was no harm intened in what I said..... jeez.

Hi Absalom

Is it possible to add 6.jpg and 7.jpg etc. to have more than 5 rotating images?

Thanks in advance

Yes, it is.

You will need to modify 1 line in front.php to do so. Just look for a "5" somewhere near a rand call and change it to suit. Any chance of seeing the site you're tinkering with atm?

Very nice template...works well in IE as well as Firefox. I'm using it for a prototype of a new web project but would like to replace the top horizontal menu with the pathway. I tried a couple hacks to no avail (my coding skills are "still under development.") Could you share the code it would take to make this happen? Many thanks.

Rich

After a closer look, I think I'd like to have the search function included in the same block area as the pathway. The pathway would have a left float with the search on the right. Thanks again.

Not sure what you mean...just a typical public web site project.

As I understand the license under which this template is offered, it is for general use provided full attribution is included.

If I'm mistaken please let me know.
