Email Signup Script

I'm looking for a script that will allow a user to signup for an email account. It has to use DirectAdmin, and not CPanel. Doesn't have to be Mambo based, as I know this doesn't exist (yet ).

Have you been looking at MOSeMail at mf.net? The developer is talking about a mid-April beta release.

From what I remember hearing this will just be a webmail script. I need the ability to signup. Will certainly check it out when it comes out though.

Hi keliix06,

Its quite possible to use sendmail for mail user creation, I could look at creating a custom addition to MOSemail explisitly for that function. It may require relacing the standard MOS user login module if you wish for all users that signup to your website to have an email address. Alternitivly it could be made as a module so users can apply for an email adrees rather then just give them away...

Now that you have brought it to my attention, its something that will bug me until I create a solution...

So here goes...

Module:

Allowing webmail signup at either the domain hosted upon, or virtual domain , for registered MOS users only.

Utilising either STMP or SENDMAIL user creation.

This will allow you to offer an email solution to your users, Based upon MOS registeration rules.

I will still create your module for you, as well as one for cpanel. But i noticed that DirectAdmin has a nice fuction for 'catchall'...

So this prompted my newest project.. hence the link.. ( right at the bottom ).. MOSopMail ( POP3 mail for MOS ).. based on a 'catchall' single email address , referenced against your MOS user table , and then delivered to the appropriate person...

Would this be an easier solution ????

I suppose the easiest way to think of what I'm trying to do is a small scale hotmail. DirectAdmin is a fairly new panel system, so there aren't as many scripts out there was there are for CPanel. I was contemplating creating each address, but I don't know how popular this site may become.

If you dont mind waiting a little while, I'll slap something together and get you to test it... ( I dont have DirectAdmin )...

And if not the other option... catchall, will work just fine...
