Installing language pack

I want to install a french language pack to my mambo 4.5. I unpacked the files, one french.xml and one french.php. Then i tried to upload them through the "new language" menu in mambo but it doesn´t work. It only says that it couldn´t find a installation file.

Can anybody help me???

You must install like a module or component in the appropriate menu,

Site->Manage Language->New

So where can I find the module for French? I thought that was what I was downloading...?

If you have version 4.5 1.0.9 go to Site then Language Manager, select New and upload the zip file (without unpacking it) then publish it.
