Thumbs down Module -> unable to use 'Install from Directory' option

Hello all,

I reinstalled mambo thrice and also on different servers but cannot upload modules using "Install from Directory" option that is in install/uninstall modules page. However I am able to installl new modules using packaged file. ie, with zlib support. I have tried on different servers and finally think that this is a bug. If anybody contradicts this, just reply so that I can atleast know that I am missing something.

Problem : Unable to install modules using "Install from Directory" option. Just not installing. No error messages are displayed even.

Thanking you,

Afru

I have the same problem... I don't have zlib on my server, so modules must be installed with 'Install from Directory'. I have installed several components, so I don't think there is a problem with safe mode (which is off) or file upload permissions. When I click install, Mambo takes me back to the list of modules already installed...no status messages of any kind.

Hi there,

I am experiencing the same problem. No module gets installed and there is no error message. I just get taken back to the modules overview. I have no problem installing components form directory. I do not have zlib support, so installing from a zip is not an option. (although on another server I have I use that option without any problems.) I am _still_ using 4.5.0

I there really _nobody_ with the same problem. No solution. Please. Help.

cheers,
Jan

check your mambo systems, if safemode "on" make sure that the safemode patch is installed, otherwise becomes it this problem never solved. you can get the safemode patch on mamboportal.com. overwrite the files from the mambo package with these. thats all to patch mambo :-)

Unfortunately, safe mode is off in my configuration.

Thanks anyway. Any other suggestions?
