This example shows how you could use the top module position to display modules side-by-side (by using the 'true' parameter), given enough room.

<?php mosLoadModules ( 'top', 'true' ); ?>

you mean by adding the true param, it positions the modules side by side?

true is a boolean (0,1) value equal to 1 and false being equal to 0.
