Question About Mambox

Does anyone know about the Mambox 2.1 and can give me info about where i could get the documentation for the module. I have changed the necessary settings for the module as mentioned in the read me file but I have been having problems as to loading my music. I have the mp3 files on my computer and when I enter the path in the audolist.xml, it still doesn't budge, could someone please help me out as to how I can get it running?

Hi there

I just installed it myself yesterday and got it going. Can you paste your audiolist.xml stuff in here?

cheers

What do you mean? My audio list is is made up of mp3 files. I just modified the Xml source codes for audiolist.xml and entered the direct path into the folder that holds my music on the hard drive. Are we supposed to maually upload the files into the file manager or could you please provide me with a detailed step by step instruction on the procedures of making mambox 2.1 work. Thanks.

OK I just wanted to see the file just to run a fresh pair of eyes over it to make sure it has been edited properly (as you already know, just one little thing could stuff it up)

With the music files, they just need to be uploaded somewhere that is web-accessible of course, and you don't have to upload them through file manager.

So is the problem that when you click on the musicplayer that it doesn't come up, or if it comes up it's blank, or if it comes up, its not blank but nothing plays?

Here is a cut from my audiolist file:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<songs>
<song path="http://ms-geek.net/music/Crash.mp3" artist="Dave Matthews Band" title="Crash Into Me"/>
<song path="http://ms-geek.net/music/Fall.mp3" artist="The Whitlams" title="Fall For You"/>
</songs>

Just check that all the quotes etc are right to start with.

Sorry, just trying to diagnose what the problem is

cheers
