Default MSAS to webserver question

Hi everyone,

When I change my module orders and positions in MSAS and upload to my server I can't see the changes.

However modifying the CSS and Templates file works fine, but how do I transfer my offline layout to my online layout?

For example, if I have my main menu set in the right position in MSAS on my hard drive and publish it to my webserver, it remains in the default left position of the Solarflare template.

Is there a way to unpublish modules and play with the layout in MSAS offline and publish it online without having to access the online admin panel and make the changes there?

I hope I'm being clear...(probably not!) kind of hard to explain...

My goal is basically to be able to make the site from scratch on my local server, including layout, glogal configuration, published and unpublished modules, installed and uninstalled templates ect.. to a virgin online installation without any modules or components installed on the destination server.

The only info I found on uploading MSAS to a webserver is for site Sync. Is it possible to upload a MSAS to an empty server that doesn't have a prior mambo installation on it?

Default Re: MSAS to webserver question

You might need to sync the databases between the MSAS and your live site....
