I found out that Latest news 1-2 module is very great, but how can I can set whoch news categories it is showing. I checked the code that I found out that if there is auto on it shows the same news than the latest news module. But how can I set it to show for example my own news category. It would be good to have that kind of setting in module administration in the same place where you decide in which pages it exists.

But does somebody know how to set the category with this very great module.

As a quick tip you can use any one of the following to specificy which section/category you want the latest news from
set_category_id = 1
set_category_name = How to
set_section_id = 76
set_section_name = Frequently Asked Questions
Use only one of these


Also my site has 8 examples of the module running with different parameters. 4 on the 'frontpage', 3 on the 'projects' page and 1 on the 'status overview' page


Also in the upcoming 1-3, release you will be able to select a set of categories/sections to display:
set_category_id = 3, 5, 30

Your new module is great but it still lacks one feature.

Your module does not have the ability to scroll like mod_newsflashscroller does.

I tried your scroll feature but all it does it scroll the same Article again and again.

mod_newsflashscroller works but it's content does not have links.

Also, is it possible to add our own news manually.

I'll see if I can add this functionality, javascript is not my strong suite so I'm not sure how successful I will be.


A thats kinda the idea. Its scrolls through all the articles that meet your parameter settings in a continuos loop. So if a i have set to display 5 news items, it will continually loop through these 5 items.


Sorry I'm a little confuse by what you mean by this.

With the parameters you tell the module where it should the news items from, how many of them it should display, and what information from the news items should be displayed.
