Has anyone considered creating a random image module for Mambo and Gallery? I was just curious because that was one of my favorite addons for php-nuke back when I used that inferior CMS...

I would use Akogallery because it has this feature available for it but... I was using php-nuke on my site with Gallery of which I left my album dir there when I wiped it out for Mambo. I then setup Gallery recently and just pointed it to my old album dir... Not to mention, I really need the ability for users to upload their own pics...

Anyway, has anyone started working on or considered such a module for Mambo and Gallery? I sure would like to have it again!

It's a module in the left side. It shows a random image from Gallery whenever you click to a new page. It uses a small iframe but it works...

Right now I'm too busy and can't look at it. I've created the module to show a random image from the Gallery albums.
The module is not "instalation friendly" but I promise I'll put some time into it in a few days .
The instalable module release version will be for Mambo 4.5 only.

I could use such a module too; I can't get PU Randompicture to work; all I get is this:

What's PU random pic? Is this a module you created yourself or downloaded from another site?

I'm interested in the Gallery module too, thanks for good work!

PU randompic is a module downloaded from PU (www.pragmaticutopia.com ), maybe PU Arcade rings a bell? Just have a look at the site.
It should be showing a random picture from a folder you specify and I tried several ways to point out the folder (./images/stories/ ; http://www... ; ...) but that doesn't seem to make any difference.

Anyway, I just downloaded a randompic module from scorplev, here on the forum. I will try this module.
