Default Template -> Placing graphics behind modules

I have seen many sites that are having complex graphics as a background for their modules. I know that is something with the css file. Could someone give me a clue, and more preferably an example?

Thanks in advance

You could easily look in each CSS-File you find on the web to see how it is done.
If its a grafik it should have to do with background-image: xy...
There are many sites on the net teaching CSS... maybe http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp for example helps. Or http://www.d.umn.edu/itss/support/Tr...esign/css.html
