Modified Mambweather

Hi,
For those fans of Mambweather, I've spent a fair amount of time customizing it to my own liking, with a new icon set and a vertical scroll direction. Please have a look at it on my site, and if there is any interest I will look at packing it up into a module.

What is the source for the Weather data?

Would a module allow choosing North & South American cities?

Hi,

Yes, you can customise it how you like, you will need to know the ICAO codes for the airfields in your area, as it uses these to retreive the data. Also your time offset from UTC (GMT) which is used as a basis for the airfield weather reports.

I must apologise for the delay in completing this module, but you can now get it from the downloads/mambo area of our site.

Please note: I have noticed that the installer sometimes misses out some of the icon files - I don't know why. If this happens then simply FTP the whole set in again, to the /templates/default/icons directory. There should be 56 of them. Also, after installation the first page load will be slow, as the weather data is captured.

You can modify units etc in mod_EuroWeather.php and the colours etc in the template.tpl.php file.

I have installed successfully on 4.5(1.0.9) and 4.5.2 but as always, you use this module at your own risk.

I must also give credit to Vasco Nunes for the original MambWeather module from which this module is derived.
