Default Newbie. Create Module or Component or Both?

Hi,

Iīm walking my first steps through Mambo and I have a doubt. I want to create a content page (basically a report from the database) but I donīt know if I should create it as a module, as a component or I should create both. Other question is how to create the option menu that make the content accesible (which option of the attach picture ?). I have done it creating a component first (two files mycontent.php and mycontent.html.php ) and then a link but it seems that is not the right way, is it?

Regards,
Miguel.
