Default Newsfeed Scroller 4.5.1 BETA

Hey,

I just made my first module (based on the one for 4.5). It scrolls newsfeeds.
It works fine but i only tested it myself so if you find any bugs just contact me and i'll fix it.

I dont know how i can publish it so people can test it and use it but i hope this is the right forum

Not yet, you can install the module multiple times but several rss feeds in 1 scroller isnt possible.

If i have some time to spare i'll give it a try but i can't promise anything since i dont' know much about how the feeds are divelered. (if i can sort them out by date)

I'll give it a try. I'll let you know if I find any bugs. Congrats on your first module.

Cheers,

Found a bug...well maybe. I installed it and configured it by the params - very slick by the way. It displayed just fine. Then when I moved it below another module it didn't scroll but showed every item in the feed. I uninstalled it, reinstalled, moved it before I published it, same issue. Moved it to be the first in the position and it works.

so, for clarity:

Newsfeed scroller - works great!
Other module

Other module
Newsfeed scroller - asplode!

It may be just me, see if you can duplicate it. For now, I will keep it at the top of the position or maybe try another position by itself.

Keep up the good work.

****edit***
I tried it in another position but below another position with a module in it and the same problem.

I tried the things you said but i can move the module everywhere, below all the modules, in the middle it just scrolls the feeds fine. (Tried on mambo 4.5.1a) Maybe it's a confict with a module not the divereld by mambo. Do you have any other modules installed? If not what is your site so i can look at the source code?

Thumbs up Re: Newsfeed Scroller 4.5.1 BETA

Ok. It was the other module. If I put your module below different modules it works fine. One specific module causes the breakdown when it is above yours.(romance gone bad?)

When the site goes public, I'll post a link here so you can see it in action.

Cheers,

David
