I am an experienced mambo user. I have been at it for quite a while I've built templates and modules, along with various other customizations, but I have never been able to make the mambots work. I can't find a tutorial that plainly describes mambot implementation, so I must assume that it should be very simple. I must be missing something.

I want to add php to content items, my first real need for a mambot. I am attempting to use the mambo brothers' mosphp mambot. I have the latest mambo release. I dropped the necessary files in the mambots directory, and pasted the example string (below) into the htmlarea editor.

"{mosphp}$today = date("F j, Y, g:i a", date("U") - 1*6*60*60 ); return
$today;{/mosphp}"

When I click the link on the public site the output was exactly the string above. In fact, whenever I use a bracketed tag "{mambot}" I get nothing.

I am frustrated and ready to give up on mambots, and I cannot find a tutorial anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. I feel like a moron.

Is there a setting or a line(s) of code that needs to be in place before mambots function. Are they in realm of the esoteric mambo elite?

I guess I am a bit of a moron today. I checked mambot functionality in an earlier version of i had lying around and discovered that I only had the problem in version 4.5.1.0.7 (stable). Has anyone else experienced lack of mambot functionality in the newest version? Not even {mospagebreak} works

I don't seem to be able to get the mambots to work either. Neither htmltidy or textile bots work over here.

the htmltidy bot works fine here, i use fckeditor to add news and once saved and i go back in to edit, i see that the html has cleared up alot. Great bot.

Did u just extract everything in the .zip to your mambots folder?
