I am very new at Mambo and I am not a developer.

I like the peek lime theme but I wanted it to be in shades of blue. I got the okay to change the colors from the theme author so I changed the graphic files in Photoshop and saved them to the theme files using the original file names. It worked out fine and looks great but this line is showing at the top of the home page:

"; defined( '_VALID_MOS' ) or die( 'Direct Access to this location is not allowed.' ); ?>

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of it? You can see for yourself at http://www.cityofchisholm.com/city/index.php

PLEASE help me out on this, I really like the look and don't want to change the theme to get rid of the code.

When I've had this problem in the past it was due to the quotes I was using. Try going back to the original template and copying and pasting the code again.

You may be missing the first <?php in this line.

should look like this:

<?php defined( '_VALID_MOS' ) or die( 'Direct Access to this location is not allowed.' ); ?>

Thanks for the info about copy/paste the code as it made me look at it again. I had done that once (copied it from the original file and pasted). I decided to compare the original (I must have changed that too somehow) to the peek orange index.php and it was different:

peek lime:
<?php echo "<?xml version=\"1.0\"?".">"; ?>"; ?>
<?php
defined( '_VALID_MOS' ) or die( 'Direct Access to this location is not allowed.' );
?>

peek orange:
<?php echo "<?xml version=\"1.0\"?>"; ?>
<?php
defined( '_VALID_MOS' ) or die( 'Direct Access to this location is not allowed.' );
?>

So anyway, I copied and pasted the lines from peek orange into peek orange(blue) and all is okay.
