Mambo is a far superior cms/portal system to what I used to use but lacks in these features.

1. A good permissions system with the ability to add groups and asign group and individual permissions for components and modules.

2. Multiple sites - running different sites off the same installation.

3. The ability to asign different templates to different tables.

4. The ability to asign different modules different looks.

5. The ability to add different module areas without having to hack core files.

that was why i could get mambo in the company i am working for so they choosen another CMS (which is not yet half about configured and propably will not be for a looong time).

anyway: the lack in the permissions-system was the killer here for mambo
