Default installation problem on local PC

Hi Guys

I have a small problem with the installation. I know it is something small i must have omited in the installation on php. The installation is on my local pc is "localhost" and i am running apache.

the main problem is when i calll mambo folder for installation, the first page ie "Welcome to Mambo Open Source installation". On the pre-installation check list there are 2 item that are in red, that is "Mysql support" and "Session save path".

How do i correct this problem.

i replied to your post in another mamboforum, but here again:

check if the mod_php4-mysql package is installed (connect for php to mysql) und the extension is enabled in the php.ini - that's often the main problem - session save path is a bit strange... i sometimes ignoring it during installation, because php can write into it, although the installation page tells me that it's unwritable

yes that could be the problem , if i remember correctly mambo does work for a bit with php5, but not completely yet, so i would recommend you to use PHP4 .
And i think you can only have 1 php-version on each machine, so it's not an option to install php4 also
