I've seen several posts asking questions about sql syntax errors, but very few of them have any replies.

For my part after successfully installing Mambo 1.09 and several components I started fooling with the main menu items and newly created news categories as well as the front page parameters... when I suddenly received the sql syntax error and my front page stopped showing the basic news content that should be there when you type in my base url... and gave an error saying the page I was trying to access did not exist. I've used Mambo for about a year now and while I'm no code monkey, I do know that I've got published content on the front page that should be showing on this site. This has happened twice now after reinstalling the whole thing.

Also now additionaly my admin side isn't recognizing my admin password (which I had changed from the install generated one to one of my own choosing and have used to log on several times)... so I'm locked out of my own site.

Any help would be appreciated, a complete reinstall looks like its going to happen again but I don't see why I should bother if the error will persist.

i can`t see any probs! it`s displayed well and there aren`t any errors...

problem still there?

I've reinstalled but am afraid to:

start new categories or fool with the front page settings which seemed to have triggered my problems last time...

Oh well I'll go for it now, and then save the other changes for after so I'll only feel like i've wasted half of my time when it screws up

Just removed the front page "Welcome to the Front page" message in the settings, and tried to save the settings and received the syntax error.... now what?
