I did something stupid and changed what i thought was output text in the english.php file in the mambo/language folder...

I was trying to change the text in the dropdown for polls into something else... now I get this...stuck on top of my live site...arrrgh can anyone help me...

I tried replacing the english.php file with one from the unpacked install folder but it doesn't help????....eek .....

I'm not sure i can help but you should give us the Mambo version at least.

If that was the only file you changed and you replaced it I can't see what else could have gone wrong. ;-)

obvious things like - refresh the page - logout/login - have been tried?



obvious comments like back up your site before you fiddle with it ommitted for clarity

sorry I was so shocked with the problem i forgot to mention ..I'm on mambo 4.5 1.08

can you see that error?

I even tried to replicate the problem on a test server and it doesn't happen..

it just gor worse now I' getting this and the site doesnt load at all...

This look like something to do with remebering your login so try clearing your cookies.



This seems to refer to SEF so try turning SEF off. Sorry this is just basic me looking at the code. Maybe someone who knows something more could help. You will probably get more help after the weekend. Try not to panic! Good luck

I tried clearing cookies... i dont think it has anything to do with sef as it was fine before and I didn't touch anything except mambo/language/english.php

mmmhh.. guess I'm stuck until someone finds this post and knows the answer...

Drat it! wish I knew more about this stuff...

It wasn't me... It was an upgrade the host did to the server....
