I installed phpshop but keep getting problems with downloading images. Downloading in Mambo is no problem and works fine.

I'm getting the following message:

Warning: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory in /home/sites/site24/web/mambo/administrator/components/com_phpshop/classes/ps_main.php on line 142

Warning: getimagesize: Unable to open '/tmp/phpN7zFWB' for reading. in /home/sites/site24/web/mambo/administrator/components/com_phpshop/classes/ps_main.php on line 142

Could somebody help me out?

You read it right:
open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory...

You must contact your server admin and ask him to get an own Temp directory (e.g. /home/sites/site24/tmp) or set the open_basedir directive to include the directory /tmp.
Be glad that php tells you what is wrong. Other users too had this problem, but didn't get an php error message.
