The site I'm working on is for auto racing and there are 3 different type of autoracing each having its own news, event schedule, and articles. As an example, image if you wanted to have a site for Formula 1, IRL, and NASCAR news and information. ( My site is for our Sports Car Club of America local region ) .

What I want is to have a news section for each type of racing and on the home page have a summary of all the news articles regardless of the racing section.

In other words, If the user goes to the home page he/she should see all recent news articles, Then, if a user goes to Club Racing the user should see only news and other stuff related to Club Racing and it should work the same for the other two racing areas.

I'm looking for some suggestions on how to set this up. Is this where I need to setup categories for each racing area and the create a Category menu item or what?

I'm using 4.5.1.0.9
