Default Auto email to admin on registration

Is it possilbe for me as admin to get an email from the site when someone registers.

Oh .. I think I saw this type of query somewhere else in the Mambo community but it wasn't answered and I have a similiar issue .. I have one site and am about to put up another on a different domain and server and wondered if there was a way to allow people to register on one site and get an auto rego on the other.

Not sure whether this can be done or whether I have to get someother code to do it for me. May be it's rocket science.

I'm not really too good at hacking this stuff so simple solutions to both of these would be great.

Anyone else got these issues?

Hi,

edit User Administrator. Enter your EMail-Adress and set Dropdown "Receive Submission Emails" to "Yes".

That's it.

Hi,

no, i don't think that it's that easy.

First, there probably will be the problem, that you can't access the database from one server to the other. For security reasons this should be forbidden.

For an easy workaround: link both registrations to ONE of the servers and exchange the userdata as often as possible .

Greetings, Zork

Hi,

it's in admin, Site-User Manager-Add/Edit User. Select user "Admin". There you should find it.

Greetings, Zork

i know this is a dumb question... i'm sure i overlooked it somewheres.. but how can i disable the New User Detail email from being sent to me everytime someone signs up as a user..
yet i want to be able to recive things like link submissions etc..

but the user registartion get's to be pretty annoying at times..
not that i'm complaing that the user base is growing i just don't need to know about new users in my inbox..

Thanks

Hanno the problem is that you gota take the lot if you want some of it.

You know the saying ... you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Well in this case you got no choice.... you got your cake and there's too many pieces

You want to know about web links and news submissions then that's fine .. you also get the new registrations.

As others have said on this forum over the years (my email has changed a few times and I'm still a baby) .. get over it (I mean that in the nicest possible way)
