I have a site that I have to have the ability to approve users.
The user approval hack had a two versions old mambo.php file

Is there some sort of software that will look at the two files and allow me to apply the user approval hack to the new mambo.php file?

For Windows, I use a program called BeyondCompare. It shows two files in side-by-side windows and highlights the differences in the files. Features are available for selectively copying portions of code to the opposite window. It's commercial but there is a evaluation version that runs for 30 days.

I believe that there are others on SourceForge for Windows (WinMerge, I think). There must be similar applications available for *nix. Maybe someone can elaborate.

There is a nice freeware-tool called ExamDiff similar to the unix diff or xdiff.

Been tinkering with Danial's hack and the latest 1.09 patch for MOS 4.5.

I've attached an updated hack for 1.09 with installation instructions - requires a manual alteration to your users table. Works just nicely on my test system.

I've also uploaded it to Mamboportal, so hopefully it should appear there shortly as well.
