Default How do I move all files, modules, and components?

I want to move everything on my site to a new server. I have cpanel on the new server and WEBppliance Pro 3.5.20-9 on the old one. I don't want to loose any of my custom modules or components or the hit counters numbers during the transition.

Can anyone tell me EXACTLY what I have to do to make this happen?

Thanks,

-Steve-

Hi Steve,
You can do a backup on your database, then copy the entire directory your site is on, (make sure you get all your files & images) then on your new server, Install a new version of MOS, then take your old files & install them right over the old ones, when prompted choose "overwrite all", Almost done Now take the database backup & restore it VIA your admin panel.

Note.. You may need to correct some info (paths) in your config file.
Also..DO NOT delete anything from your old host untill your up & running with the new host.

That should do it..

Hope this helps

Ok lets say I have both a test.com and a test.net for my site (test=example)

all of my files are on my test.com and I want them on my test.net site.

will what you described work for me?

I think so

If you just want to change it to .net from .com you can do that with DNS.

If you want to change to a NEW server , yes that will work.
