Custom first page instead of frontpage

I know that Mambo is a News-portal application, but there are times when I don't want the usual Mambo-Frontpage.
How can I show as first page a custom-made page with p.ex. a nice graphic or a special frontpage with some assembled mambo-modules, like p.ex. on mamboportal.com ?
