I need to create a number of pages with unique content in the main body and also in another area of the same page. Main content A needs to display on the same page with secondary content A. Is this possible?

You could achieve this with a module positioned next to your mainbody and set to appear on all pages.

To display existing content in a module, you could try my Display News - Latest module.
