Default Events 1.0 RC5f erased my main menu

I downloaded and installed the component, Events 1.0 RC5f , and my 'mainmenu' dissapearred. I uninstalled it and still can't get the menu to reappear. It's published, nothing's different on the backend. anyone know what going on? Anyone know how to use Events?

also, unpon installation of the EVENTS, I had two instances of events in my admin components menu. Now that I have uninstalled the component, one of the listings remains in the menu.

Make sure that the Main Menu module is published.

You will need to manually delete the duplicate Events component entries from mos_components using phpMyAdmin or another database administrator.

Thanks for the advice on erasing the duplicate from the DB.

The main menu is definately published, nothing looks different from the admin point of view. The title "main menu" actually shows up.

What now?

None of my menus are displaying. Not the main menu, the user menu, nor the menus I created in mymenu. They are all published and all of their titles will display in my template.

please help.

Export a copy of your mos_modules and mos_modules_menu tables as a sql file and email them to me. Also send a copy of your events installer file (*.xml) so I can look at the database INSERTs.
