Default Section/Content link definitions?

Hello,
When I create a new Section or add content to a section, where can I go to find out the 'location' of it in order to add a link to it in another page, etc. Currently, what I do is add the content, add the content link to the main menu, mouse-over the item in the main menu, write down the url that it shows, then remove it from the menu & add the link where I want it.
Isn't there an easier way?
For example; www.mydomain.com/content/view/2/49; what table can I find the "2" and "49" in so I can create the link myself?

Thanks!

If you use HTMLArea3 XTD then it includes linking to other docs, (i think FCKEditor does as well).

Sorry to be so dense, but I'm not sure what you mean. Are those substitutes for the HTML editor included with Mambo?

What I'm looking for is how to create a 'url' for content I've just added. I assume all the required information is in a table somewhere in the db.
