Default home / frontpage path

The first main menu entry, which we call Home, is defined as the MOS Frontpage Component. When we view the site's Home page and click Home in the main menu, the path reads Home > Home. Any advice on fixing this, so the path always reads Home?

We tried setting the first entry to a typed page, but that didn't change things. It seems like we'd want to set Home as the Top parent, instead of a child of Top, but we don't see how to do that.

Thanks.

BK

Default Re: home / frontpage path

I ran into this problems as well... What I found out may or may not help.

Anyways, in an attempt to change what displayed on the frontpage I removed it from the Main Menu and tried loading other things...

I never got the results I wanted so I loaded the frontpage back on the Main Menu and that's when I started seeing the Home:Home...

Best I could tell is that it was because when I put the frontpage back on the Main Menu it got an new/different ItemID... Instead of being ItemID 1 it was something like Item 50...

I fixed this by changing it back to ItemID 1 in the database. This worked for me... So be careful. I'm not certain but, I don't think Mambo re-uses ItemID numbers, at least I didn't have another ItemID 1 when I made the change.

I made the change in the "mos_menu" table and it was the "mainmenu" item.

I did have to go and reset everything that I had appearing on the frontpage as now the frontpage had a different ItemID number... So, basically after I made the ItemID change I had a blank frontpage (only the middle, frontpage part).

Hope this helps,
David

Thank you skruf, for finding this out. Was a great help for me as well. I did the same thing you did with the frontpage.
