Default Multiple site templates via main menu url's

Is it possible to build the main menu so that when pressing buttons (or navigation bar) the site template would change. So for example in the news there might be a different template than in faq or links etc. The structure can be the same but colors and pictures should change.

you can modify your template index.php file, is a php file so you can do whatever yu want.. for example changing the background to the image that you want depending on the $option parameter (that pass the component used...) be creative, or search better in the forums...

Hey pixelsoul you are genious. That works great. I have never been thinking like that...

Now because you are so big wizard do you have any idea how to make the navigation to work so that there is a main menu level 1 on the top and sub menu level 2.3...n on the left. And when I am changing in the main menu the sub menu changes as well.

For example if there are in the main menu cars and aeroplanes and then I have sub menu on the left like Ford, Volga, Chevrolet when I am in the cars. And then when I go to the aeroplanes there would be Cessna etc in the sub menu.

Yes, just convert it like this: /mos_change_template,templatename/

Yeah this deadset the easiest way to implement multiple templates into a site, without having to code or hack anything.

Try these menu's created by YTM and mambobrothers.
As mentioned here:
Vertical dropdown

Download the split menu variant (unfortunately the demo doesn't seem to be working.
