Gallery 1.4.3 Integration -> Installation Errors

after setting it up as per the instructions, when i click on the gallery menu item it says:

Gallery has not been configured!

Gallery must be configured before you can use it. First, you must put Gallery in Configuration Mode. Here's how:

ftp> chmod 666 .htaccess
ftp> chmod 666 config.php
ftp> chmod 755 setup

i don't have a .htaccess file. and there is no config.php file either. there is a setup directory. also, on the bottom it says, start configuartion wizard, and when I click the link it calls a wierd link to my site:

http:// reemasville. com/home/reemas3/domains/reemasville.com/public_html/gallery/setup/index.php
(there are no spaces, i did that so you could see the whole long link. notice how it calls a link that looks like the path name i used.)

Hello,
You have to manually create those files and upload them to the Gallery folder in your server. Use a text editor to create them. Make 2 empty documents, change the name, the permisions and you are done.

I don't understand why is taking you to that long URL, but I try it and works ok, it takes me to the configuration page.
