We use both french and english. (4.5) (not ver 4.5.1)

the auto lang works upon site access, but if you select a story while detected as french, the story shows in English on the main page rather the the French version all while everything else stays french suchs as menus or other.

Any ideas what is the issue with this????

Please, anyone,,,this has become a major issue and was working before the patch to v1.0.9

does this mean mamblefish is not compatible to v1.0.9 or is therre something else that was missed

OK, I'm going to vent.....

IS THERE ANYONE ELSE HAVING ISSUES SUCH AS THIS

or am I talking to the blind....I am trying to have patience, but I am not...so I have a major problem which for some may not be a problem

BUT here in the provience of Quebec, I can be forced to shut down because we do not comply to the laws concerning language....so if someone could give me a clue as to why this is now not working,,,it will save me the legal hassels

Get in touch with Mibi (Michelle Bisson) who handles the Mambo documentation project. She is running English and French in Quebec, but I'm not sure if she is running two separate sites, each with its own language, using mamSites or if she is using MambelFish, or if she is using the site code that her husband developed independently. In any case, she might have some answers.

Otherwise, leave me a PM and I'll pass on Alex Kempkin's (akede's) email address.

The next version of MambelFish for 4.5.1 is due to include some enhancements for handling multilanguage content that were not possible earlier. 4.5.1 includes most of the original 4.6, less some features best postponed for the true 4.6 release. Earlier, the full integration and enhancement of MambelFish for Mambo was planned for a 4.7 release, but everything is in limbo until Robert releases the new roadmap.

there has to be something ,,,see, it was working until the last patch, now I reverted back to v8 and still something is amock

it seems to only affect the frontpage not menus or sidebars

if you select the flags for manual it shows all in the selected language. But if in french and you select a fp writeup (it shows it in french) it loads the article but only in english.

My issue are that we have a TV event in less then 24hrs which is local here and it will reflect to the site,,,so I need to find a fix and fast.

I haven't got a lot of cash, but I got 50can dollars I can paypay or etransfer ,,,,but i'm really lost as to what could be the issue

LIKE to give great mention the Alex...I emailed Alex with litle hope of a response, for reasons not to mention ,,,,but,,,ALEX,,,buddy, you make me proud to say not only did he respond, his response helped me fix the oversight on my part....

panic is a funny creature,,,it can't wipe out a race, or create the most feared nightmare,,,,,Alex, thank you so very much, as for 1.0.9 fix that I got a link to, I'll give it a whirl, but right now I got fix and stable,,,when I get the nerve to try it,,,thanks to ALEX and his quickness, he has come through in a punch

I know he is swamped, and at times snappy but his cooth made my day bigtime.....

This is the risk we take to have the best, as each works at different paces, our world is a stepping stone to greatness, it is by our falls we see the light...
