Default Site won't come up after making change in Global Configuration

I've been setting up this new site for my company for the last three week. I made a change to "Show Unauthorized Links" in Global Configuration, and hit "Save". I have been making changes in Global Configuration without problem. But now I get the following message when I try to log back into the site (www.i2flow.net), either to view it or to make any changes as the administrator. Do I have a corrupted file? Thank you in advance for any help. Aloha, Ian

I think you have a fault in $mosConfig_absolute_path. Download that file from your server, open it and see.

It probably should be:

PHP Code:
$mosConfig_absolute_path '/home/oceanit/public_html'
and you probably have:
PHP Code:
$mosConfig_absolute_path '/home/oceanitItemublic_html'
See the difference?

And I would advice you to upgrade to 1.0.7 ASAP becouse of serious security holes in previous versions!

Yes, thank you very much! Now I had opensourcehost.com do the installation. They provide a nice web control panel, so I tried using their file manager to look for the file $mosConfig_absolute_path. But I can't seem to find it. Do I need to ask opensourcehost.com to make the change? Sorry for the dumb question but I'm the marketing manager and I don't have the IT guys from my company nearby. Ian

Sorry, I should have mentioned that the variable is located in the configuration.php file. Sometimes you take some knowledge for granted...

Can you locate that file, download it to where you are? If you can, open it up in a text-editor and locate the line that start with $mosConfig_absolute_path and change it to what I wrote in the previous post.

MAHALO (Thank You!). It worked! It's 4:40am Sunday morning in Hawaii, So I really appreciate your help. FYI, I've been evaluating $25K and up priced CMS systems, as well as Microsoft's CMS system. Mambo CMS is very impressive but honestly I was concerned about support with an open source product. You've changed my opinion. The Mambo CMS and its Community is world-class! Aloha, Ian

Great that it worked! Yes, Mambo OS IS great, and with all the great features planned for v5 (see the Roadmap and some sneek-preview) it will be the best at any cost! And with the very active user and developer community makes it much better to get help and information that having to call some grumpy kid on a support hot-line
