Default SEF URLs with Gallery Integration

When I had gallery, I had Search Engine Friendly URLs enabled. This gives you the nice form:
http://mike.schroll.org/gallery/Misc/emu

When I installed Mambo, I enabled SEF URLs.

Why no Search Engine Friendly URLs when I integrated Mambo and Gallery?!

I've posted an article over at my site concerning how I went about altering gallery to allow my mambo integrated site to have SEF URLs.
-- 10 fresh lines of code, and some .htaccess mod_rewrite stuff and you too can have URLs like this:

Looking quicky at what you posted - though it wasnt immediately clear - you had to hack a gellery file.

Maybe you should submit your changes to the Gallery Menalto Development team for inclusion, thus enabling better support for SEF urls with Mambo.

I may do just that -- though I'm sure my code is... imperfect; I was kinda waiting to hear some critiques first; as this is .. well, one of my first public code releases ever...

Good work then, sorry cant offer any advice as I dont use Gallery and I dont have the time to llok into it in detail.

Imperfect or not, they maybe be able to use your concept/idea and optimise.
Though I'm not exactly sure whether they (Gallery Devs) would be willing to add code simply to work for a specfic CMS, but you never know unless you ask.
