I saw your post on the MOS forums and have signed up

This is an excellent addition to the armoury and should be a good way of keeping uptodate with latest mambo security related issues.

Also, great to hear that your site withstood the slashdotting (no mean feat from what I'm told).
Also noticed from some of the posts on their page that they were rather impressed with the security of your site

Keep up the great work.

I learned my lesson after the first few Slashdottings to get a good dedicated server on a big pipe.

Speaking of yesterdays Slashdotting, how did MOS hold up? Any chance of some graphs?

Yes it would be great to have the stats for your site during the slashdotting just to see how mambo stood up to it - if thats at all possible.

And any comments from you about how it went.

I will have some more information soon. I am busy trying to put out a few other little fires. I can say already that Mambo held up bettter than my previous CMS which had a nuclear melt down during the previous Slashdottings.

I will post the numbers once I get them together. As well as the changes I had made to Apache and mySQL for high traffic performance for those in need of this sort of info.

Here are some graphs for our web server from the day after (04-10-2004):

Daily

Weekly

There are some errors in the graphs being that there was additional throughput not accounted for. . .

From my Apache usage logs alone it shows 7783.5498046875 MBs for April.
