Default web links does not keep formating

I have started to populate the web links section of a site I am building and ran into a bit of a problem.

When adding a decription to a web link item I wanted to scip a line here and there and it looks fine in the back end but when you view the web link item from the front end it is just one big paragraph.

Is there any way to make it keep the formating?

Example:

short blurb about the web link as a papragraph.
address line1
address line 2
phone number.

when you view the above from the front end it looks like:

short blurb about the web link as a papragraph.address line1address line 2 phone number.

you can do this easily enough by typing <br> where you want a new line.

if you want it to do it automatically, you will have to hack the core to make it replace crlf's in the string with <br> before saving it to database.

You might also try <pre> if you already have your text formated and are just pasting it into your html. It will get all your tabs, lines, and spaces for you.

I'm sure they're are drawbacks to <pre> but, I don't know what they'd be I find it very handy.

Is there a way to make Web Links two columns on EVERY page of the links listings?

Also, how do you either change or delete the picture that shows on Web Links?

LOL dang, I tried typing it into a page in dreamweaver and then pasting the code into the description box and that did not work at all. So I did not even try just using the <br> by itself

Thanks for pointing out my oversight!

imsleepy, this post will help you. http://mambers.com/showthread.php?t=...ve+image+links

Perfect! That's EXACTLY what I needed for the image. Maybe I can edit the layout there too.

To change the default text that is in the weblinks page beside the image you have to edit /language/english.php. It is down close to the bottom of the file.
