I have been using Mambo for quite a while now and love it BUT I have a gripe with the media manager. And I need some resolution.

I have made minor adjustments here and there but nothing to my true desired effect.

Here some of my thoughts about the subject.
To me, the media manager should be just that, a manager of media, not just images.

1) It should automatically be able to upload any type of media from images to word docs/powerpoint/pdf/mp3/ram/avi, etc. (docman does some of this)

2) There should be a better way to view them, right now if I have 100 images loaded up that NEED to be in one folder we have to scroll into the cosmos to view them all.
- how about a better way to organize items

3) A search function of some sort would be useful.

4) From within the html area be able to integrate all of the media within it, not only images.

5) This is a big one, should automatically convert mp3/real and video files to streaming automatically. (the AV component was on to something).

Looking for a dialogue to begin about this. Hopefully something can come about from it. Don't know if 5.0 has addressed using it is too frustrating and limiting.
