Exclamation Broken image links in components

Hi All,
I have searched all over for this issue I am having, so here it goes:

All components' images have boken links in both the front end and backend. I have observed the same behavior in both my windows and linux pc's and both IE and Mozilla. It might be a permissions issue, but I am not sure. Anyone experience this?

It most likely IS a permissions issue. What are your permissions currently set at for your "components" and "admin_components" directories?

same problem here... and I don't think it's a permission problem, because if I refresh the page (sometimes several times), the images appear.
I use MamboOS 4.5 1.0.5 and the images that I'm talking about are those Published/Not published pictures (all from back-end, not only from components page, also in menus page, etc.)... in front-end, everything seems ok.

There are at least four different locations for images:

/images/M_images
/images/stories
/components/com_*/images
/administrator/components/com_*/images

Permissions should be checked on all these directories. If images are displaying sometimes, but not all of the time, it is aparrantly not a permissions problem...maybe a video driver issue? I don't know. Have you viewed the site in question on other machines and had the same results? I have at least a dozen sites on various servers and have not had this problem.

I don't have the site online for now
I'm testing Mambo offline, to see what it can do... and I like it so far

But you'll have the link when I'll be ready.

of course

just remembered: the ratings (articles, downloads [Remository], etc) and the user's level (Baby,Junior,Senior Member) pictures in the Simpleboard component don't work either (in the front-end). You have to Refresh the page.

And even more: I have the same problem when visiting Mamboportal.com

PS: just solved the problem don't use Internet Explorer. I've tried Firefox and works perfect. So it seems there is an IE problem. I did not try Mozilla.

mkovacs, have you tried Firefox? if it still doesn't work, it means that you have another problem than mine.
