Thumbs up Updating Mambo SQL Database from Microsoft Access

I hope someone out there can help me?!?

I'm using the Hot Property Component, I'm trying to add new property to the component via microsoft access.

Using OBDC I can connect to the mambo SQL database, but I cant add any records via forms or even opening the tables?

I keep getting the error message 'write conflict' its like someone else is accessing the same record or something. Are there ant scripts running on the database, I'm a bit lost with this one, any help would be great.

Cheers

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your question. But just in case you're too stuck to continue with Access, have you tried phpMyAdmin? Maybe that option's not available to you.

I've sorted the problem out, In order for access to be able to update SQL tables, you need to add a timestamp field at the end of every table you want to modify, this stops access thinking some other user is accessing it.
