For some reason my site isn't able to send the registration emails.. Here is a copy of the bounced email that is being sent to the root email address (please note I even tried putting in the same email address that is the root and it still gets the same problem..) Nothing has changed on my end, but might have at hosting company.. Who knows..

i've been getting the same problem with my site. seems like php functions doesn't work with me. what do i have to do?? (i can't send registration details to yahoo and hotmail addresses but okay with address in my own domain). i had it ever since i installed mambo.. Please help, anyone..

There is a discussion on the problems with yahoo/hotmail at mamboserver forum. Someone found a solution for it, but it's not working for some people, me for example.

This was working fine for me at one point. Then I reinstalled mambo (moved to a different IP.) I don't know if the hosting company did something to the server set up, but all the mail sent from mambo gets returned, except if it is addressed to a mail box on the same domain as mambo.

In other words, if my site is mymambosite.com and my e-mail is user@mymambosite.com then everything works. If e-mail is user@someothersite.com (not just hotmail/yahoo) it results in unrouteable mail domain error.

By the way, in my case at least, it's the same problem as discussed here: Users get no email when using "Forgotten your password"

Downloaded a 4.5.1 Beta. It allows a work-around this issue, by including phpMailer integration - support for mail(), SMTP and sendmail.

Using SMTP eliminates the problem.
