Default 500 internal server error when publishing news

When i want to add a rather large article with the "Submit news" link (on the frontend) or the "edit content" section (in the backend), I get an 500 internal server error.

Does anybody know why? Is there a limit to the number or sort of characters i can use? And, if so: how can i get around this?

Default Re: 500 internal server error when publishing news

I've had this error before on one server when trying to install a coponent with a very large sql file (such as tsf4mambo which has a huge IP table).

Just how long was this article, anyway?
