Default Mambo 4.5.1 RC2 Updated Full CVS Download Package

Basically I wish to keep upto date with the latest CVS changes and implement them into my site as I go. However... I would like to begin with an upto date CVS install.

Is the download for RC2 kept updated as things are fixed on Mamboforge? Or is an updated Mambo 4.5.1 RC2 Full CVS Download Package only available from the CVS section?

I'm a beginner as you can see....

I'm fairly certain all released versions are from the moment they were released, and are not updated as they are fixed. To get the latest fixes, you must download or keep track via CVS.

They are supposed to release RC3 Sept. 6th (today or tommorrow depending where you're located). So, you'll have all the latest then.

I fully agree with hawkmultimedia. Please also note, that it is not recommended to update a live site from a CVS system. If you drive a website it is recommended to stay with Mambo 5.4 1.0.9 untill the upcoming version 4.5.1 if final. I know, that many people are excited about 451, but please don't forget, that it is still in a beta state. Even when the final is out, it can't be considered as safe as 1.0.9 is at the moment. So please be patient.

I've been happy with the 4.5 1.0.9 until recently when I began receiving multiple errors. In multiple modules and components.

Even restoring the database failed to solve them. Admin worked to the point that I could do most things bar edit or install/uninstall modules and components...

I'm at a loss...

I'm forced to either re-install 4.5 1.0.9 or go with 4.5.1 RC2 anyway ... I have a second problem in that even installing 4.5 1.0.9 stable is giving me greif once installed.

Adding components gives me an error.

I got the same error last night in RC2, even though I'd been able to upload some components and modules fine earier. Have you tried uploading via ftp and installing from the folder? This is what remedied my situation. Hope it helps yours.

I have been told by a developer that my issue had been solved and that I should check the latest CVS.
But where do I find this CVS for testing installation?

Thanks and rgds
