Question Advice needed for adding ecommerce portion to mambo site

Hello fellow mambers.

I'm looking for some advice from this community and I hope someone out there has done what i'm trying to accomplish at this time.

I'm administrating a community based website, www.goatoronto.com, which has some sections viewable by the public and other sections viewable by members only. Now, I want to integrate an ecommerce application (maybe cubecart or oscommerce etc.) into the site.

The problem is that my site does not sell any products rather we would like to sell yearly memberships to our organization (and also renew membership online), and sell tickets to our events. Tickets to our events have a two-tier pricing structure, one price for members and another price for non-members.

Has anyone done this with their mambo site? I would really like to hear from someone who has accomplished this. I know its going to be a while before oscommerce & mambo share the same user tables.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
bobcajun

Thumbs up Re: Advice needed for adding ecommerce portion to mambo site

aMember from CGI Central can work with the Mambo usernames with an additional $40-60 plugin. This plugin most likely changes the aMember user database to point to Mambo's. I use aMember on a non-Mambo site along with the phpBB plugin and it works well. Check out their website for more info.

Hello, Bobcajun,
Your website is goodlooking, but it would be more if you ad a "powered by mambo" footer. We all must support the great and wonderfull work from all our Mambo's community and, ofcourse, first, the fantastic job of the developpment team. You can use Mambo CMS solution, because of them.
Best regards
