Gallery v2 and Mambo

I have some strange problems with Mambo when i install Gallery V2. Mambo works just fine, but it will not let me view the files inside the gallery subfolder -

I have gallery installed under the root of my web in /gallery2 folder.
I am running mambo from the root of my web.

When I go to www.mysite.com/gallery2/main.php
I only see my homepage. I cannot see the gallery config site - though I was able to install gallery from the directory ??

I DO NOT have any mambo components installed for gallery yet. I wanted to get gallery working first. I am running gallery2.0 rc1 minimal.

Can anyone tell me what is going on and why I cannot access gallery via the direct url? When I navigate to www.mysite.com/gallery2/main.php --> all I see is my HOME page...just like i was redirected there for some reason but the URL is still correct.

There is a "bridge" that installs as a component that is run from the admin end of Mambo.. Not sure WHY your problem is happening but this component should get you up and running again.
