Chat Display Gallery within mambo

Hi everyone

Hope someone can help with this problem- I've read lots of posts and can't see anyone else with quite the same problem.

I've set up Gallery successfully, uploaded images etc. all works fine. I've also uploaded the random images mod, set it up on the site and, after some messing about with filepaths and a renaming of the database table( + an adjustment of the code to use the right named table in the gallery.xml file)- got it working fine. The thing I can't get to work and I'm not sure where to start is to get Gallery to display within my site, rather than linking direct to the Gallery pages ( when you click on the images). I have tried to upload the Gallery component to my site but cannot see Gallery option to link to a menu item. When I look at Gallery(in admin) from the component menu all I see is the installation stuff with the path to gallery : usr/webdata/{username}/gallery.
I have a folder in Components called com_gallery- where I edited the xml file- but the images for my gallery are in images/albums.
Here is the site http://www.rochdale-archers.co.uk

Any ideas?

When you look at the gallery contriib directory, you'll find a mambo component and a Howto.
Adding this to your menu should do the trick

Question Re: Display Gallery within mambo

Thanks for that- I've been able to get Gallery to display on the page..BUT I don't seem to be able to upload Gallery as a component:

Quote:
Go to the Mambo component Management and "install" Gallery as a Mambo component.
Enter the directory that has the gallery.xml file in it
(eg. /home/mysite/public_html/gallery/contrib/mambo)
- Every time I try this (uploading a from a zip file) I get this error message
Quote:
Failed to move uploaded file to/media directory
The only solution I have come up with so far has been to upload the "mambo" folder from contribs/mambo as a component -at least I can display the gallery on my webpage. But in admin I cannot use any of the gallery editing options, they don't appear so I'm sure I need to upload gallery as a component but don't seem to be able to.
Any ideas?

The problen I have is when I click on the pop-up with IE, it displays the entire page, not just the image. Works fine in FireFox. Using the latest Zoom Gallery with 4.5.1b.

Anyone else have this problem?
