Question The question about a placement of news to the front page

The question about a placement of news to the front page

I create section " News about beer " (for example)
in this section I create category:
- a category " news about dark beer "
- a category " news about light beer "
- a category " news about nonalcoholic " (heh =)

need to be made display to the main page of such block an example:
whether

news about dark beer
link to page - " all news about dark beer "

news about light beer
link to page - " all news about light beer "

news about nonalcoholic beer
link to page - " all news about nonalcoholic beer "

Can realize it standard modules of mambo? Or third party module?
Or I need write some special module with sql command and php code?

And other question: How correctly to integrate already installed forum phpbb2?
What the optimal right way to do this?

Default Re: The question about a placement of news to the front page

This will work. what i did on www.e78.org for the Bio's section, was to make a table displaying all the news.

that address is
http://www.e78.org/home/index.php?op...d=68&Itemid=51

Now for THAT particular news category, or that table to be exact, I can link to its address.

Now if i wanted to link that from the frontpage, I would create a new category, new News Item. In there, i would insert.

"Click here for information on the band!" (u would say, Dark Beer, etc.)

Then you select ALL the text, and click on the Link button, it lets you type in a URL.

Me, I would type http://www.e78.org/home/index.php?op...d=68&Itemid=51

Now, save it and check for it to be Show On Frontpage.

Now, that newsitem will be on the frontpage, and it will have the text "Click here for ...." and if you click on it, it will display that section of news.

You can do this 4 times, and get all your light beer, dark beer, etc. on a different link.

so, for example you would have the following all in 1 news item, published, and check marked to be on the front page.

---------------------
Light Beer

Dark Beer

Non-Alkie Beer

etc.
------------------
You can make the text size bigger, add more info.

I explained this poorly, but it makes sense to me. Do you need any more help?

As for installing phpbb, search for it, many have answered
